Harriet Sturdy
Alastair led our team through a very happy four years, despite the wider travails of the world at the moment. He was instrumental in restructuring the Federation to maximise its effectiveness and ensuring that all staff he was responsible for felt valued and listened to. He established excellent systems during the pandemic which meant that the whole team was closely supported and able to work efficiently. Alastair is extremely responsive to any questions and his skills in leadership are clear to see. What was most highly valued was the care and commitment he showed to the whole team, how patiently he dealt with such a wide range of issues, financial, ethical, technical and organisational and how key he was in establishing successful flexible working patterns. With a very dry sense of humour and utter commitment to his colleagues, I consider myself extremely fortunate to have worked with him at the CTF.
