Bar Manager at Chamber 36 – a pan Asian restaurant and cocktail bar. Located on Berry St. in Liverpool this independent bar grew out of two friends' love of Asian food, great drinks and Kung Fu. During the day we provided a great space to relax and enjoy a fantastic meal, while at night the cocktails would start to flow a much livelier party vibe ensued. I learned a lot in this role and had a wide range of responsibilities including: - developing cocktail menus - online marketing via social media - planning and organising events, including tastings and masterclasses - networking and engaging with sales reps - training staff and hiring new staff members - cashing up - managing rotas and staff hours During the summer of 2017 we took part in Liverpool Loves Cocktails; I partnered up with Elephant Gin and made a cocktail list, promoted the week, organised events and hosted a tasting in place of the Global Ambassador. It involved a lot of research and planning but was ultimately very rewarding and enjoyable – definitely something I’d like to do again. Show less

I was taken on as a senior poker dealer and my experience was used to give a high standard of service to the players. I handled chips and cards and made sure the game was carried out smoothly. I was also asked to help train new dealers and gave advice on marketing strategies for the cardroom and develop new tournaments. I started off as a till operator, serving customers, but was eventually put in charge of the Self-Service tills. I would help customers, ensure they're functioning properly and change over coins and notes. I was also left to collect the money from all the tills at the end of the night. This meant handling lots of cash and making records of intake. During my time I worked in almost every Tesco department.
