  Working offshore for Global Project Services and I am in charge of all their material on the ongoing Mariner Hook Up Project. My duties include that of arranging for the despatch and delivery of materials and goods. This helps to ensure a high level of stock onboard the Mariner A Platform. I am also in charge of making sure all tools and equipment have valid and necessary certification. I also work very closely with deck crew from both the Mariner Alpha and Safe Boreas so that they are aware of when any shipments of goods and material are arriving. This enables them to create deck space and ensure all goods and material are onboard as quickly and safely as possible. I am also responsible for chasing up suppliers onshore to make sure goods and material are delivered on time to meet business needs. I also keep control of the materials management computer system with ongoing reports and supporting documents back onshore usually on a daily basis. This enables the company to keep a high level of document control and even allow us to keep an eye on the performance of suppliers. I am also the focal point offshore for both Global Projects and our clients. This helps for any questions on material, delivery times and any other problems that may arise.

  I worked on various projects gaining extensive structural welding experience.Projects included:- Upgrading of a public bridge; personnel transfer gangway; Brent Delta Decommissioning Programme on and offshore for Wood Group PSN and Shell with Under deck, Cellar deck, Gas Modules and Sea Fastenings weld strengthening work; Hook-up commissioning for Premier Oil on their Solan Platform alongside Aker Solutions. I also undertook work at Nigg Energy Park working alongside Noble on their Jack Up rig the "Noble Lloyd Noble". This project was upgrading the rig for work in the North Sea. Other projects at Nigg were working alongside Subsea 7 and Technip on various "tie downs"and "de-mob's" onboard their vessels while they were docked at Nigg. Another project was deck weld strengthening on the new Queensferry Crossing Bridge at South Queensferry and doing upgrade work scopes on the jack up rig “Ensco 80” while it was berthed at Invergordon. On all projects, I followed very strict welding procedures and health and safety regulations. During my time with Global Project Services I achieved my SVQ level 3 in welding and gained extensive welding experience on projects on and offshore.
