Alanna is an insightful writer and a careful quantitative analyst. She was able to pull out meaningful narratives out of large forecasts of quantitative variables. Her publications for the ISS and the Pardee Center highlight her ability to write in way that makes issues relatable to the reader while retaining their quantitative focus. Her on-field experience in the field of development also helped contextualize forecasting results. She would be an asset to any organization.

Emma Y.

Alanna came to Nicaragua with an enormous amount of enthusiasm, energy and intelligence. She immediately dove into her assigned project of developing an eco-tourist initiative with one of The Working World's clients, a family-owned coffee cooperative in the hills of Matagalpa. Alanna immersed herself completely in the project, using her social skills to earn the trust of the coops members, had the consistent attention to detail, curiosity and dedication to drive the project forward. She worked largely independently and showed sound judgement in managing the day to day issues that the project presented. She was a real asset to our organization, and the now open and operational eco-lodge stands as a testament to her hard work. Whatever entity she lends her energy to is sure to benefit from that same determined passion, intelligence and curiosity.
