Bradenton, FL As an Environmental Program Manager – Marine Resources (June 2012—Present), I have been entrusted to oversee departmental programs and waterway management projects including manatee protection, boating safety, and capital improvement construction projects associated with public water access. • Present marine resource issues to Manatee County Board of County Commissioners and Manatee County Council of Governments; recommend best practice solutions and provide County Commissioner… Show more As an Environmental Program Manager – Marine Resources (June 2012—Present), I have been entrusted to oversee departmental programs and waterway management projects including manatee protection, boating safety, and capital improvement construction projects associated with public water access. • Present marine resource issues to Manatee County Board of County Commissioners and Manatee County Council of Governments; recommend best practice solutions and provide County Commissioner briefings. • Conduct a technical review of West Coast Inland Navigation District projects and draft funding applications. • Prepare Environmental Resource Permit applications for submittal to State and Federal agencies. • Formulate ordinance amendments for consideration by the Board of County Commissioners. → Coordinated donation of 25,000 tons of concrete bridge material from FDOT Skyway Fishing Pier demolition project and positioned resources on 2 county artificial reef sites – resulting in a significant addition to the reef system and a substantial increase in recreational fishing/diving for citizens. → Determined operational/functional design of full-scale renovations/expansions of Ft. Hamer, Warner’s Bayou, and Coquina North boat ramp facilities with projects ranging from $400K to $1.8M – results greatly improved public boating access. → Managed the marine resources program for all County owned boat ramps and 100 sq. mi. of waterways (2009—2015).
