I supervised Alan within the Financial Reporting area for two years, and worked with him within the Financial Reporting area at the University of Rochester for approximately five years. Alan assisted the Financial Reporting team with converting financial data as the University was converting the legacy system to Workday. Alan also tested report changes within Workday to ensure that financial data was accurate. Alan also was a mentor for new staff within the Financial Reporting area, and others within the group looked to him as a knowledgeable resource in regards to Workday reporting and the University's policies and procedures. Alan also is very detailed-oriented and a self-starter, which was evident when he prepared supporting documentation for the quarterly financial statements and the related surveys that he was responsible for. Alan was also willing to help others within the team as needed, and was interested in learning how the University's processes impact the financial statements. Alan also led the preparation of the financial reporting package, which was ultimately reviewed by myself, the Senior Associate Controller, and the University Controller. Alan would be an asset to any team that he works for.
