After a one-week course on distributed computing, used an OpenSUSE Environment to develop simple Hadoop programs using the Hadoop Java API. Analyzed SpatialHadoop, a Hadoop GIS program, ran a Hadoop cluster on Amazon EC2, gave informative presentations about analysis results, and designed a poster for the research.
