Andrew Van Deren
Alan has served a number of roles with The Supply Room, all with distinction. Since January 2017, I have had the opportunity to work with him as a peer (but in a world where Alan was first among equals), as a colleague on the same level of the org-chart, and as his direct report. Alan has excelled in all three capacities. I have consistently been impressed with his "field savvy" and his capabilities at winning new business for the company. The accounts I've inherited from Alan had always been exceptionally well managed. And most impressively, he handled the challenges of managing a group of salespeople- all of whom came to him with different skill sets, different experience, and different work habits- with confidence and competence. In every role, Alan was a very skillful operator within the company, which is no small feat. With a number of very different divisions and a range of disparate priorities, Alan has shown a natural talent for the "get things done" components of the job descriptions. His willingness to lend a hand, even on issues that didn't benefit him directly, has been a huge blessing to me.
