Direct operations to provide a full range of employment, disabled, financial and medical services. Responsible for program expenditures of $80 million annually. Advise the Dept. of Social & Health Services on human resources management, civil service reform and implementation of telework. Advised United Way of King County on social services policy and service delivery model. As member of the Community Building Committee prepared the annual allocation plan of $32 million. Advised United Way of King County on the needs of senior citizens as a founding member of its Older Adults Impact Council. Developed county wide services impact plan and recommend allocation of approx. $3 million annually. Advised Reinvestment in Youth as a member, Steering Committee. This was a King County area partnership of county and city governments, foundations and community representatives that seeks to reduce juvenile crime, and reduce the disproportional involvement of youth of color in the juvenile justice system. An additional priority was to increase the rate of graduation from high schools.
