A former Charles River Laboratories Scientist, with experience in the development of cell based assays having spent time working in the HTS, Early Drug Discovery, Electrophysiology and Biology Departments. I have a strong background in electrophysiology and in the development of real-time kinetic cellular assays having worked on multiple ion channels including; hERG - cardiac safety testing NaV1.x K.v1.x, NMDA A-D: All four subtypes Technologies and Technical Experience: 1. I have experience using the Fluorometric Imaging Plate Readers (FLIPR Penta and Tetra) to measure the intracellular and pharmacological activity of cells over-expressing the desired ion channel by measuring electrical activity. 2. I am well versed in Electrophysiology and the use of the automated patch clamp platform, Sophion Qube 384. Qube 384, Sophion’s high throughput screening system, uses the principles of manual patch when conducting ion channel research to identify novel ion channel activator or inhibitors. 3. Through mentoring, I was able to increase my knowledge and, my level of understanding of DMPK (Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics) building on the principles i have developed over my years in university.
