The Solaris Pre-Integration Test Team performs periodic regression testing for the Solaris kernel and networking components. The team executes test scripts/programs (developed externally) in a lab consisting of a large number of computers. The team's primary responsibility is to perform root-cause analysis on test failures with the goal of logging bugs against the Solaris kernel. A large part of the team's effort is dedicated to maintaining and developing the internal test-framework & tools, integrating new tests (primarily shell scripting), and managing the lab hardware. Duties & experience: Root-cause analysis & bug-logging for Solaris kernel regression testing Development and bug-fixing for internal test-framework (Java, ksh, perl) Integrating new regression tests into test-framework (shell scripting) Delivering training to new team members Team-lead for root-cause analysis team (6 months) Performing interviews MySQL Database administration, querying, scripting Hands-on experience with the computer lab (cabling, drive formatting) Show less
