Develop, implement, & continual maintenance of the company's Health & Safety Management system at Barricades and Signs. Health and Safety Role: Subcontractor Pre-qualifications, Claims Management, COR Audits, Program Development and Review, Orientation, Training, Investigations, Inspections, Ensuring Legislative Compliance. Communicate effectively with management and workers regarding Health & Safety. Identify and review various Health & Safety concerns specific to the various work sites & facilities. Develop & maintain the Company Safety Program, including: Coordinate all training, certification, re-training, re-certification, & safety orientations for employees. Create systems and spreadsheets to effectively organize, document, monitor, communicate, & access safety and training records. Conduct incident investigations to identify the immediate, underlying, & root causes that contribute to the incident and help determine control/corrective recommendations to prevent the incident from occurring again. Develop effective Emergency Response Plans in accordance with the company’s policies & external requirements for fire, medical and other emergency services. Perform Site Inspections & identify both proper and improper safety behavior and conditions. Develop & conduct continual specific HSE training for within the business organization in order to ensure all employees are well informed on HSE issues. Modify, create & review safe work practices & safe job procedures to ensure clarity, consistency, & effectiveness. Introduce PPE Policy which identifies specific requirements for basic & specialized PPE needed for work within the company. Record all safety statistics & provide trend analysis. Update the individual safety binders in each area & the Company Safety Manuals. From April 2013 – Feb. 2014, I also supervised & coordinated all maintenance for the company. Show less
