Very few people are fortunate enough to have walked our path. Alan Chiasson is among the most selfless, hardworking, and performance-oriented individuals I have had the honour to work with. Having worked with Alan in PSD/shark teams operating in Baghdad Iraq, Alan and I were teammates protecting clients for the US Department of State. Alan and I took part in many high threat missions in an austere environment, never losing a client. Alan was an essential member of the team offering invaluable expertise and insight as our team medic. While successfully performing as our medic, Alan was exposed to many high-risk incidents, demonstrating a tenacity to fight. Alan had an exemplary compassion for people that went beyond his teammates, often stopping to check on the welfare of local nationals impacted by terrorist actions. What I admired about Alan most was his integrity, strength in faith and being true to his word. For those of us who experienced Iraq beyond the military, Alan's upbeat personality and strength of character has left an unforgettable impression on all who served with him. Our team was our family and Alan my brother in arms.
