Team Leader/Family Worker
-
2011 - May 2016
I lead a team of Family Workers who have trained as either social workers or counsellors. We support whanau who have tamariki aged 0-17yrs. Alot of our work involves family violence among other social and personal issues and we run programmes for women and children affected by family violence as well as the Incredible Years parenting programme. We also provide Lead Agent and Facilitator services for Strengthening Families. I also team lead two Social Workers in Schools (SWiS) who work within the Kawerau schools to support tamariki and their whanau. Our SWiS run their own programmes tailored to meet the needs of the school. Show less
