Mike is a strong and insightful manager and a skilled technologist. He pays close attention to the day-to-day operations and longer-term development needs of his staff. Mike is constantly seeking ways to effectively lever new innovations into real process improvements. And he is a skilled technologist and systems administrator in his own right. Mike has a rare combination of people/managerial capacity and hard tech skills that would benefit any organization.

I worked with Mike Howlett from May 2005 until October 2007. He was my supervisor in the Information Technology Services Department at the City of Bloomington. As a supervisor Mike always took the time to listen to his employees and welcomed suggestions for the department. I could always depend on him to be punctual, organized, and methodical about the computer needs, in particular, computer training needs for the City of Bloomington employees. Mike had extensive knowledge of computer software and hardware and was always willing to answer questions, and research questions further. I would recommend Mike as a valuable employee for any organization.
