Co-chair of the Committee on Cultural Affairs at the Council of the European Union (EU) during the Latvian EU Presidency 2015. Worked in a team of 3 Counsellors from the Ministry of Culture, focusing on creative industries, audiovisual policy and proposal for Equal Treatment Directive. Responsible for strategic planning and execution of the Presidency in the framework of the Ministry of Culture, including formation of the strategy and mobilizing resources to execute the actions (human and financial resources). Involved in the preparation of 11 working group meetings at the Council for experts and attachés (e.g. Culture, Audiovisual Affairs and Social Questions) and ministerial level meeting of the Education, Youth, Culture and Sport Council. Responsible for drafting working documents, compromise proposals, communication strategy, speech notes and negotiating proposals. Assisted the bureau of the Minister for Culture with preparation of speeches, organising high-level meetings and hearings at the European Parliament. Briefed and advised the Minister, the Ambassador and representative from the Latvian government. Assisted with the preparation of a joint statement on freedom of expression signed by the Ministers for Culture from 28 EU Member States and European Commissioner (11 January 2015). Involved in preparation of 2 international conferences on culture and European media market development under the Latvian EU Presidency (with 500 participants from 30 countries). Assisted with the development of the concepts for the conferences, with the negotiation of the grants, with preparation of communication materials and high-level policy maker panel with representatives from 4 European Commission services and Ministers of Latvia and Luxembourg.
