We've hired Akira to edit quite a few projects over the past few years and have always been extremely happy with the high quality and reliability of his work. Most importantly, we all love having him around. Akira is exceptionally talented, hardworking, diligent and honest. I highly recommend him!

I had the pleasure to work with Akira on multiple projects. Akira has phenomenal vision as a creative story teller. His eye for excellent cinematic shots helped elevate the quality of each project that he was a part of. Concise and clever, his feedback was very useful an productive. As a designer/animator I was able to converse and bounce back ideas with Akira to come up with a solution in a seamless manner. Akira's calm and collect demeanor have helped our teams problem solve more efficiently. Synergistic in his workflow and his approach to collective problem solving, Akira melded people together. I highly recommend Akira, for he is a tremendous asset to have on a team.

“Reel Voices” is a documentary workshop for high school students produced by the San Diego Asian Film Festival. Past projects have covered topics on the Sudanese genocide, gay parenting, and living between the Tijuana and San Diego border. My role included teaching film theory & video production, and guiding students towards completing their short documentaries. I worked alongside Mike Watson, who continues to instruct the Reel Voices program. “Reel Voices” is a documentary workshop for high school students produced by the San Diego Asian Film Festival.
