Launched Canada’s 1st hybrid rocket 21 500 ft at Launch Canada and won 1st in advanced category. As a lead/executive, I managed weekly team meetings with 20 members; used project management software to delegate tasks for team productivity. Successfully built and launched a solid rocket 3000 ft to attain L1 certification from Tripoli Rocketry Association in July 2022. Accurately modelled rocket components in SolidWorks and verified performance through rapid prototyping (3D printing) flow visualization tests and Ansys Structural Simulation and Ansys Fluent CFD. Developing Python object-oriented liquid rocket simulator and reduced compute times by 20%; interfaced with OpenRocket modelling. Repurposing a MATLAB simulation into Python to improve performance and accuracy. Integrating repositories like NASA combustion analysis (CEA) to accurately predict/simulate a flight profile and trajectory. Collaborating with interdisciplinary subteams' MATLAB programs to integrate into the simulation; Clear communication through GitHub version control and thorough documentation.

Led a team of 5 executives and 30 mentors to organize mentee-mentor relationships for 1st and 2nd-year students. Collaborated with faculty and student government to plan and execute events and panels catered for 1st and 2nd-year students. Ensured cohesion between promotional, mentorship, and financial aspects; motivated students with team-building events. Working with 2005-15 Canada Research Chair Prof. Krishna Kumar. Analyzed fault detection, isolation, and reconstruction for mechatronics systems in aerospace applications; implemented reinforcement learning to Kalman filter in MATLAB to improve fault isolation performance. Investigated the impact of sampling points and initial conditions on reinforcement learning results for fault isolation. Working with 2005-15 Canada Research Chair Prof. Krishna Kumar. I was selected for the University of Toronto's ESROP Global research program from my class of 1st-year students for an international research opportunity at the National University of Singapore. I successfully optimized a feedforward neural network using Bayesian Optimization in MATLAB, achieving a MSE of the order of 10^-7. This network takes 4 layer thicknesses of a transparent perovskite top cell and outputs the efficiency, and reflectance and transmittance of light. In comparison to the mathematical model, the network reduces the computational time by 3 orders of magnitude. Using my optimized network, I developed a Pareto front to optimize and visualize the efficiency and transmittance with a genetic multi-objective algorithm. Additionally, I developed an easy-to-use GUI with a MATLAB app to ease the use of the optimized neural network and Bayesian Optimization training. Communicated findings in a professional 30-page report to be used in future publications and papers. Investigated results of 4000-run datasets to develop a physics-based explanation for solar cell’s optimal physical parameters.
