  Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project Units-3&4 located in Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu, is an expansion project of Units-1&2. The project is being implemented with technical cooperation from Russian Federation within the framework of the Inter-Governmental Agreement (IGA) signed between Russian Federation and Republic of India. Manufacturing and progressive delivery of various equipment and components are in progress. In Unit-3, Civil construction work of main buildings like Reactor Building, Reactor Auxiliary Building, Turbine Building, etc. is in progress. Erection of core catcher is completed.Construction of Inner Containment (IC) up to Elevation (El) +44 Metre (M) completed. In Unit-4, civil construction work of main buildings like Reactor Building, Reactor Auxiliary Building, Turbine Building etc. are in progress.
