I worked as a digital journalist in the newsroom. I covered stories ranging in various beats, from Mental Health to LGBTQIA+ and businesses that are making a difference. During my time there, I did a piece on a trans man's petition to the Tamil Nadu High Court for a gender-neutral 'parent' tag in his child's passport. Another one included a group of parents, headed by Dr. Nilakshi Roy, signing an online petition asking India's autonomous educational body, NCERT, to bring back the training… Show more I worked as a digital journalist in the newsroom. In the Mental Health section, I profiled an organization called 'AtEase' that provides inclusive mental health services women and non-binary individuals, catering to their needs. Another story was on a West Benga-based organization 'Anjali' run by clinical psychologist named Ratnaboli Ray, with an aim to transform the state of mental health institutions and the conditions of those residing in it. I worked for the Buzz beat in Times Now Digital where I covered bizarre and offbeat news, along with trending topics on social media. My stories ranged from looking at the reactions under viral hashtags and videos online to writing about cute animal videos that often got traction on social media. A major chunk of my work was during the COVID-19 pandemic. During that time, we also did stories that struck a chord with the Indian audience. Memes were also something that we covered in the… Show more I worked for the Buzz beat in Times Now Digital where I covered bizarre and offbeat news, along with trending topics on social media. I worked in the editorial department of the company where I wrote the news which was then put on the website. This was a volatile time to be in a newsroom as the Citizenship Amendment Act was passed by the Indian government. I got to cover the protests in Bengaluru where they stood up with students at Jamia Millia Islamia and Aligarh Muslim University, where students were attacked by the police. I also covered an exclusive story on student atrocities in Aligarh during the protests… Show more I worked in the editorial department of the company where I wrote the news which was then put on the website. Another video that I helped shoot was the aftermath of a horrific rape case in Hyderabad where a woman named Priyanka Reddy who was gangraped and murdered.
