      The internship at Old Dominion University, Virginia, USA, provided a real-world construction challenge where the aim was to find solutions to construction problems using image processing and machine learning techniques. My role was to work on image processing using Python programming language.The internship was sponsored by Netarus and J.W Morgan I and my team members were awarded $1000 for our contribution to the project.

The uniqueness of the program provided direct learning from automobile industry experts from reputed original equipment manufacturers [OEMS] and research organizations.       It was a 2-day robotic workshop followed by a competition which led to the world's biggest robotics event in the U.S.A.It was organized by Technophilia and Robotics and Computer Applications department of Institute of USA.I and my team of 4 developed a hexapod walker and haptic arm for National round of Indo US Robo League. My role was to design the robot and work on a method of autonomy for the rover. I also helped in coding for the haptic arm.

      During this 3 month internship, my responsibilities included research, designing a solution around a problem statement and then prototyping it. The design included both hardware and software design. Prototyping was done on various platforms which included Arduino, TI-MSP430 and ARM processors.I have contributed to various projects. Some of the few projects that I have completed are :1. Indoor navigation system2. Various design principles of line follower, remote control and Bluetooth robot.
