• Oversee food safety policies, quality systems, compliance will FSMA and maintain company certifications against GFSI standards (BRC and FSSC 22000) current.• Develop, implement and maintain fundamental SOPs such as GMP, HACCP, SSOPs, recall/traceability, pest control and allergen control program.• Responsible for leading regulatory, GMP/first-party, internal SOP, customer and third-party audits. • Manage non-GMO verification programs, organic and kosher certifications. • Conduct monthly meetings with management to discuss food safety and quality issues, research developments, industry concerns and improved food safety technologies.• Supervise and direct coordinator, technicians and production employees engaged in performing analytical testing.• Implement sanitation and environmental monitoring program, approve chemicals and verify sanitation documents. • Develop standards for supplier, manage supplier approval program and conduct 2nd party supplier verification audits.• Responsible for conducting root cause analysis, correction in procedures and supervise labeling and handling of defective materials/products. • Lead packaging label verification team and approve product labels before they are sent out for printing. • Review customer complaints, risk assessments, trend reports and conduct annual KPI assessment for possible gaps and improvements in programs. • Develop product specifications for the company and other customers under their private name brands.• Assist R&D teams during new product development trials and organize in house shelf-life studies.
