  "ΠΟΙΩ" is Athens' first municipal Maker Space, making technology accessible, approachable and user-friendly for all, through courses on 2d and 3d design, electronics, use of digital fabrication equipment and power tools. Responsible for planning, setting up and teaching courses on the proper use of power tools, fasteners’ and adhesives’ joining and bonding applications, security measures and regulations, and routines to avoid injuries and fatigue. • Provide technical advice to aspiring makers, professionals and researchers of the “Educational Pla(y)ces” program on how to optimize their designs, leading to more efficient fabrication of parts and more functional structures. • Manage inventory and purchasing of materials and other supplies for the “Educational Pla(y)ces” program’s projects. • Support the day-to-day operations of the laboratory’s CAM equipment (CNC Router, Laser Cutter, 3d Printers).

  Projects for Programs: • Educational Pla(y)ces The program enriches the educational process through interdisciplinary activities between school communities and researchers, benefiting students (more than 3700 in 2016-17) and empowering teachers in the fields of Teaching, Technology and Architecture. • Enhancing the Spatial Environment for Special Needs Education Τhe interdisciplinary efforts of special education teachers, occupational therapists and a team of TIE Lab researchers resulted in the total renovation of an old school and the creation of its customized equipment. The sensitivity required for such a project fired up the dedication and enthusiasm of all team members. Besides my construction administration duties, I assisted in creating the G-code files required for the CNC milling of custom equipment parts. I also milled all the parts for that custom equipment on the CNC router and even designed/created a unique musical instrument/toy to encourage kids' creativity. It was an extraordinarily rewarding endeavor in many ways. • Maker Space Responsible for the infrastructure and interior arrangement to house “ΠΟΙΩ” laboratory and its equipment on the exhibition hall of Serafio Sports, Culture and Innovation Center. • Design for Better Learning Participatory design between school communities and researchers led to technical works and renovations that upgraded the quality of the school environment of 24 schools of all levels of education, spanned 13 building complexes.

  Offering services for construction management, technical advice, building permits processing, architectural design, structural design and analysis, Building Energy Performance Certificates and Law 4495/2017 services. • Creating added value by making every project, building identity-ready, by combining new documents and blueprints required for each case with historic data and documents of the property, into digitized complete information package. • Provided Law 4495/17 (and its predecessors: 3843/2010, 4014/2011 and 4178/2013) services for over 100 houses spanning more than 5500 square meters, securing owners’ rights in rem.
