• Work closely with young people aged between 12-17 (younger in some special cases) that are in the care of Positive Care, following the young persons personal plan at all times surrounding safeguarding, personal care and general wellbeing. Provide a safe environment to engage young people in learning and development and also assist in day to day living such as helping with homework, dropping to and from school/work , cooking, cleaning and many more tasks. • Follow policies and procedures set out by TUSLA and the Children First Act. Follow and implement policies to ensure the safety and development of young people, ensure a professional but trusting relationship is in place with young persons. • Communicate efficiently and clearly with all staff members and carry out a thorough handover to oncoming staff that day/night, update all staff of any incidents that took place and ensure all staff read any reports from that day. • Accurate and detailed paperwork to be filled out daily, all paperwork to be kept up to date including key working sessions with my key service user. Liaise with parents, teaches, An Garda Síochána, social workers, youth club volunteers and at times lawyers. Keep line manager up to date on any developments. Challenging behaviour dealt with using training in de-escalation techniques and TCI training if necessary
