Project title: "NO reduction by CO on an Rh(100) catalyst."Grade: 8.5I joined the Catalysis and Surface Chemistry group at Leiden University in February 2020 where I carried out my MSc Thesis project concerning NO reduction via CO on a rhodium catalyst using Scanning Tunnelling Microscopy (STM) to probe the surface of an Rh(100) single crystal in an attempt to elucidate the morphological and topographical changes that occur to the metal's surface under realistic reaction conditions. My project was carried out under the guidance of Dr. Irene Groot and Ph.D. candidate Dajo Boden. Show less

This work was important to the development of a foundational understanding of how such porous materials will interact with biological systems in applications such as drug delivery.
