I have known Aishwarya in my capacity as both her former Manager and Peer at Teach for India. Aishwarya has an exceptional gift for making others feel heard and seen, which is essential in any leadership position. Both as a teaching Fellow and ProgramManager Aishwarya's dedication to her work demonstrated her commitment to her job and the people she worked with. She was a caring teacher to her students who always wanted them to independent and aware adults and a caring manager for the fellows she worked with. Aishwarya excelled at working as a team. She always treated everyone as an equal partner in her endeavor, whether it was her coworkers, cohort members, friends, other school teachers, or students in her journey. She always stood out because of her ability to remain positive in difficult situations and her drive to succeed. I was a pleasure working with Aishwarya and I wish her best for all her future endeavours.

I have had an opportunity to work with Aishwarya in the second year of my Teach for India as a fellow. She was my manager for one academic year. She had incredible managerial skills while working with 10-15 fellows (learning circle - LC) and excellently guided and empowered the entire LC to achieve our full potential. A few instances that I could provide are as follows: - She organized timely and well-planned learning circles where fellows could share their practices and learn from each other. - She observed my classrooms regularly and provided feedback which helped enrich my teaching experience. - She possesses high EQ, which allowed me to be honest even during difficult situations. She was very compassionate and was always willing to help. - She strikes the right balance of flexibility and rigidity. While her flexibility allowed me to be creative and gave me enough autonomy to implement new ideas in my fellowship, her rigidity kept the entire learning circle on our toes and strive for excellence in our classrooms. - Her composure, commitment, and adaptability are admirable for imitation. These qualities of her's stood out even more during the time of COVID pandemic which helped not only the fellows but even the students and their communities. As Sheryl Sandberg puts it

As a Freelance Program Support Specialist with Taking Up Space, I support the Eldership program design and facilitation for the Mastery of Holding Space program. I design the vision, expectations, and training support for a group of 8 elders who serve as coaches and mentors to the program participants. I also support the selection, onboarding, and training of these elders to ensure they are equipped to excel in their role to cultivate a new generation of facilitators who can hold space with authenticity, empathy, and integrity. As a full-time consultant, I donned multiple hats while catering to the needs of the ecosystem and expanding my own skill-set. These included designing and facilitating the strategy and induction for the incoming cohort of both Fellows and Program Managers, supporting returning fellows with their readiness for the alumni movement, and upholding the city culture and vision of excellence through different interventions as the acting HR manager.

As a Program Manager Coach, I directly managed and coached 6 of Pune's Program Managers, thus ensuring progress towards student outcomes, fellow development, and citywide culture. I worked closely with the city's leadership team in ensuring the effectiveness of the program impacting 150 Fellows and 6200 students. I utilized a variety of facilitation and coaching tools to not only build an effective team culture for a team of 10 program managers, but also served as a culture and movement builder for the region. I taught as a full-time teacher in a low-income private school, catering to 140 students across grades 6, 8 and 9, all coming from marginalized communities. I taught these kids English and Social Studies through a variety of pedagogy practices while focusing on the purpose, skill and application of learning. As a huge advocate of mental health and holistic learning, I led and organized multiple projects including a menstrual hygiene awareness campaign, multiple targeted safe spaces for parent-child dialogue, 2 musical theatrical productions for the school annual day, a library reformation project, student council support and development, an English speaking and listening club and many more similar initiatives at a classroom, community and city level.
