  I worked as a Clinical Trials Administrator in the Haematoloty-Oncology Research Department. I was required to become familiar with clinical trial procedures and protocols in order to input data about patients into online and paper case report forms. Many of the trials I was involved with were myeloma specific, sparking my interest into the disease. I had to communicate with consultants, registrar's, research nurses and coordinators on a daily basis in order to corroborate patient notes and data. I also had to ensure good organisation and time management in order to work to deadlines and database locks.
