I worked with the IT department at Notre Dame to create a more accurate and efficient screening measure for student athlete mental health. From the first email I received from the IT department I knew I wanted to be apart of this project, and it was an absolute honor. Most of my work would be classified as grunt work. I worked alongside the professors collecting data for them to then clean and analyze. I spent most of my time researching past survey's and their reported effectiveness in screening mental-health. As I reported my findings the team would continue to sample past screening methods and slowly began to formulate a survey that I was in charge of creating, testing and distributing. I left the team in early April as I moved from South Bend to Atlanta in order to begin my playing career with Atlanta United. While a short-lived job, it was a rewarding experience. Working alongside highly accomplished and respected individuals towards a cause greater than ourselves gave me purpose and exposer to how coding and analytics come to fruition in an office setting. I Ran socially distanced soccer camps in Wisconsin for 3-12 year-olds as the camp director, trainer and administrator. In a summer unlike any other I found myself in the middle of the country attempting to educate and entertain over two-dozen children for 5 hours a day 5 days a week without letting them within 6 feet of each-other. As the only member on staff and constantly the focal point of the parents wondering eyes it was truly one of the most difficult, frustrating and rewarding few weeks of my life. I am an expert in the field of soccer. I was not an expert in keeping the attention of children, or in keeping children socially distanced from one another. Through hours spent preparing lesson plans, countless improvisations and an abundance of fantasized games, characters and accents I managed to make it through each week better than the last. It was not my normal coaching gig, but it gave me an appreciation for the complex and often unpredictable nature of a child's mind. It stressed the importance of presentability for the parents paired with organization and preparation for the kids. Above all else it tested my ability to stay constantly engaged, expressive, and vocal while improvising and/or expanding on an area of personal expertise. Show less

I Provided one-on-one and small group training sessions to aspiring local youth soccer players. As I was unable to use my name, image, or likeness to gain employment/ find clients to train, I reached out to my old soccer club and became a player-coach for the summer. The position was rather straight forward and seamless given my previous experience and knowledge of the game. I worked either individually with local players to improve their technical abilities or as an assistant coach in a larger team setting. Show less

I Led Soccer Training for EPL Camps and West Chester Little Players Program tailoring sessions based on ages and ability with an overarching focus on developing self-confidence, teamwork, and a love for the game. This job exposed me to the world of coaching as every summer prior I had been on the player side of this camp. While some campers were my age or older I found my bearings and gained valuable knowledge from professional coaches representing AZ Alkmaar (NED), Reading United (ENG) and Plymouth Argyle (ENG). I watched and recorded sessions the respected professional coaches ran that I have since modified and re-implemented in my own training sessions. Show less
