Aiden is the Senior Event Health Services Planning Officer within the St John Ambulance SA. In this position, he is responsible for planning and overseeing the operational delivery at some of South Australia's largest events.Aiden fulfils this role with the following key responsibilities:- Engagement with emergency services, volunteer staff, event organisers and other agencies in a variety of capacities;- Production of documentation including Event Medical Plans, Risk Assessments, Emergency Response Plans and Briefing/Debriefing documents;- Oversight of the infrastructure requirements of major events including fleet, infrastructure, communications and logistical requirements for each major event to ensure the deployments are appropriately covered;- Initiation of risk assessments and hazard identification reviews; application of risk management processes to promote the public health at major events.- Overseeing event medical deployments in a management capacity, responsible for overseeing the operational teams, working closely with event managers, emergency services and other stakeholders;- Liaison with an array of stakeholders in the pre-event and post-event phases including the in-depth planning and brieifing of the deployment through to the debrief and review post-event.- Working collaboratively within Event Health Services Team to produce and implement new programs/procedures/policies on a regular basis;- Engaging with operational volunteers and salaried staff on a daily basis including the resourcing and rostering of staff at events.
