  As the only estimator in the company I am responsible for booking in all tenders, organising the return dates and pricing all jobs in an accurate manner. Within this role I have had the opportunity to progress my skills and have a better understanding of an estimating role. Once priced I chase and negotiate possible secured projects.   I started at Continental Installations Ltd working as a Window & Curtain Wall Fabricator on the shop floor when the opportunity arouse to work in the office as a Trainee Estimator. As you can tell from this bio I grabbed this with both hands! My main roles were booking in enquires into the database, reading and understanding the architects drawings / requirements and inputting into Logikal. Updating our Tender database, chasing and receiving feedback on projects which I priced. If a project was won I would attend meetings to discuss our quote in greater detail, organise meetings with the production team and handover the project, discussing in further detail what i included and how I have interpreted the drawings / specifications. I would work closely with the Main Contractors, liaising with fellow colleagues in other departments weather this be in person or via phone / email. I learned a great deal at Continental and thank them for giving me the opportunity to be apart of this industry.
