I started getting involved with Warriors during their pre-season for the 2016-17 campaign as part of my work experience. During that pre-season I was assisting the more experienced interns and full time analysts in filming training sessions then coding them using Sportscode. During the season that followed, I filmed all home matches for the Warrior's from the opposite side of the pitch that the main cameras were on. My job was to provide alternate footage of scrums and lineouts filmed from a particular angle for the forwards to analyse post match. I would also assist with set up and clean up of the analysis equipment in the coaches box for every home game. For the 2017-18 pre-season I have once again been in working at warriors filming and coding training like the season before. However, now as one of the more experienced analysts I would also help train up new analysts. Show less

As a sixth year at high school, I lent my rugby experience to first year players at the school. Every week for the rugby year I helped coach the year group. I mainly worked with the kids that hadn't played very much - if at all - before. By doing this, I got significantly better as the year went on at teaching others about rugby, even the most basic skills and tactics. While still in 6th year at school I carried out some performance analysis for Hawks RFC. This involved me using MyTPA (https://my-tpa.com/) to look at upcoming opposition's recent games. I would then create an Excel document highlighting any trends I could find such as patterns of attack from various set piece and pass this information on to the head coach. This was only for a brief time however as I needed to give more attention to my school work. While still in 6th year at school I carried out some performance analysis for Hawks RFC.
