I worked with Dr. Aida Essaid, Director of IRC/KFH on a project grant received by USAID Civil Society Support Program (USAID CIS - FHI360). She extremely competent and was responsive to the work asked we asked for. She is passionate about human rights and an adamant child rights advocate. Because of her competence and grace, she has solid working relationships within civil society organizations , both Internationally and locally. It was a real pleasure to work with Dr. Essaid, and hope our paths cross again.

I have been working with Dr. Aida Essaid for years, so it's really hard to write a recommendation that can do her justice! Dr. Aida is one of the most professional people I have met at work, with an extensive knowledge in her field. She is a passionate but rational advocate of human rights, who manages to say and do the right thing even in tough situations. I have always envied her for striking that right balance! As a director, Dr. Aida has a very positive attitude towards her team, encouraging and supporting every one of us to realize his/her full potential. I have to be very honest and say that she is not the typical director you meet every day!

The Childwatch International Research Network is a global, non-profit, nongovernmental network of institutions that collaborate in child research for the purpose of promoting child rights and improving children’s well-being around the world. It was founded in 1993 as a response from the research community to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, an instrument for changing the focus of research and for ensuring that the perspectives of children are heard. The Convention is the basis for the Network’s common agenda. http://www.childwatch.uio.no/about/ Show less
