  As a key player in the establishment, launch, and ongoing growth of a USA-based subsidiary of a Japanese company, I oversaw the development of the operational infrastructure, the financial reporting and processes, and the organizational structure of employees. This is a reverse logistics company, processing returns of consumer electronics products, repairing or refurbishing them for optimal resale value, and handling warranty arrangements and customer service. Partnering with the CEO, we grew this company from scratch to its present sales level of $25M annually. We started with 3 employees and now have 35, plus we utilize over 100 contractors. Throughout our growth, I’ve worked within a lean budget and have found creative ways to save money through research and negotiation. I’m also always on the lookout for ways to diversify our service offering, reaching out to national chains to propose handling their product returns in our facility. I’ve had multiple opportunities to represent the company by speaking at university seminars through the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. My topics deal with innovative Japanese contributions to the management of small businesses. I’ve also had the chance to partner with university researchers in Israel as I worked with the CEO to create a nonprofit to research large-scale sustainability through reverse logistics.
