Bio
Randolf Richardson 張文道, CNA
Adam has a helpful and friendly attitude and is highly knowledgeable with computer technology, especially when it comes to software development/programming. He reliably delivered results to me on the schedule he anticipated. In particular, Adam resolved a problem with the VLC (audio/video) software on NetBSD (Unix) for me for a project I was working on. Both VLC and NetBSD are free, open source software, and his contribution is greatly appreciated because the application (which records audio/video data to disk from various RTSP sources) is still running consistently years later.

We were developing NEXOGEN's industry changing SaaS solutions using Microsoft Azure and .Net Core in mainly C#. Initially I took part in the design and development process for several of our core services forming the base of our SaaS offering. I have learned a lot of hands-on lessons on how to design services for the cloud. Keeping close cooperation with the Infrastructure team I ensured that all of our solutions are highly available and resilient allowing us to have excellent service availability. I continued to work on our core services and creating proof of concept. My last focus was migrating our services to Kubernetes. I worked on to Ericsson's IP router platform license management including adding additional encryption to our files to harden our system. When not doing feature development I was fixing issues in the 802.11q control plane and writing additional integration tests. First I was porting C applications to the NetBSD operating system for its packager manager called pkgsrc. Later I was participating in kernel development, mostly on my contribution the NAND storage driver. Depending on the components I was working with C, C++, Java and bash. Later on I have joined one of the design teams created for introducing our platform to a new hardware. I was the team leader and also did most of the Linux integration work. The tricky part was modifying our Linux image for the new blades which had multiple SSD drives instead of as single SCSI HDD. After that I was mostly working on prototyping new features like virtualization of the platform and migrating the cluster from 1GbE from 10GbE backplane. My final task at TSP was leading the newly formed Linux team and to participate in a reorganization of the teams and way of working. I have designed and implemented the NAND device framework and drivers for the Beagle Board's TI OMAP3530 SoC for NetBSD operating system. Later I was working on bug fixes for the CHFS file system which was the main focus of the project.
