  Field Engineer: 1. To determine any abnormalities or deformation of the pipeline by operating Pipeline Inspection Gauge (PIG). 2. To determine the actual physical condition of the pipeline, the corrosion rate and the cause of deterioration by actual observation, measurement and assessment at worksite. 3. To increase the operating efficiency of pipeline and facilitate inspection of pipeline by Bi-Di Pig / De-Waxing Pig / De-Scaling Pig (Enhanced Cleaning). 4. To conduct in-line inspection tools that use Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) to inspect pipe wall for corrosion, crack, metal loss or other anomalies by MFL Pig. 5. To measure and record changes in internal diameter of a pipeline by Caliper Pig record conditions i.e. dents, wrinkles, ovality, bend radius, angle or internal corrosion by utilizing Caliper Pig Software. 6. To collect data of obstruction in the pipeline and provide evidence of the worst-case obstruction in a given pipeline segment by Bi-Di Pig with Gauge Plate / Bend Plate. 7. Perform trouble shooting and calibration of Inspection tools i.e. MFL Pig / Caliper Pig prior to pipeline inspection for maximum output of data capture rate. 8. Perform preliminary data assessment after inspection for determining defect area i.e. corrosion and obtaining optimum data capture rate from MFL Pig. 9. Supervise operators in the field and work area for adequate strength and resources for pipeline inspection. 10. Eliminate hazard and risk with Job Hazard Analysis and adhering to Standard Operating Procedure during Inspection. Show less
