My research includes targeting receptors, certain cell signaling pathways & biochemical pathways in prostate cancer cells. This will improve our understanding of the behavior of prostate cancer cells under harsh condition, as some cancer cells can evolve into an aggressive phenotype by several mechanisms. Thus, we can select a specific treatment, that is consistent with the pattern of prostate cancer. Techniques & Skills: - Cell Culture - Cytotoxicity Assay - Colony Formation Assay - Cell Motility Assay - qPCR, RT-PCR, Conventional PCR - Flowcytometry - ELISA - Western Blot - Basic Research Methodology - Academic Writing - Critical Thinking - Design & Conduct Experiments - Basic Bioinformatics - Primer Design - IC50, Antagonism & Synergism Determination - Statisitcal Analysis - Data Interpretatipn - Presentation Skills Show less
