  Launched a project that aims to cater Europe's need of biomass energy supplies to meet their Energy Initiative 20'20'20.We work collaboratively to formulate the economics of the project, exploration of sustainability issues relating to wood pellets produced in Brazil and technological innovation within renewable market. The nature of the project involves the production of wood pellets from Eucalyptus forests located in Southern East Brazil, of which are then shipped to European coal based power plants as a source of biomass energy. My scope of work involves leading the following items work: 1. Obtaining the required European Union certifications to meet the renewable energy directive. EN Plus certification and FSC forest certificate.2. Analyzing the logistics for the entire value chain and working with local private logistics companies for an efficient outbound transporting of wood pellets to ports. In addition, we analyze the logistics for the wood hood harvest and inbound activities.3. Analysis of an Eucalyptus forest with a total area of 15,500 hectares in south east Brazil. Implementing a topographic analysis to discover the roads and inclinations within the forest, and running an inventory analysis of about 2 million m3 of wood. 4. Studying the end consumer market, particularly, the European Union industrial coal power plants. This includes the analysis of the current demand and growth over the next years, regulatory off-taker terms, and competing technologies.5.Working collaboratively with EY to assess the financial feasibility of the project using certain investment analysis metrics (NPV, and discounted payback period), analyzing cost structure, identification of the target level of financial leverage, and CAPEX and OPEX forecast for the plant . In addition, to a performance of Monte Carlo sensitivity analysis to identify impact magnitude for each of the key elements on the project.
