Bio
R. Daniel Hague
In February 2015, the Head of Design at TechnoQ took full integrator leadership responsibilities for audio visual technologies at Northwestern University in Qatar's (NU-Q's) new building. Not one piece of equipment in the proposed Tender Bill of Materials (10,000 line items) was carried over from any previous projects in Qatar (NU-Q planned for 100% digital classrooms, conference rooms, and digital signage). Senior leadership at TechnoQ promoted Ahmed Marei to Projects Manager to handle the complexities of delivering such a transformative solution. Starting with deep design review of the video infrastructure, Ahmed immersed himself in new manufacturers, new models, new cabling requirements, new control systems, new technical furniture, new classroom BMS integration, new all digital microphones, new window treatments, new construction materials, new open mesh ceiling tech mounting challenges, and a new AV centerpiece: a 100 square meter LED indoor display wall. Ahmed quickly built a rapport with construction partners and manufacturers: INC, JBK, ASTAD, Stewart Filmscreen, Extron, Christie Digital, Draper, Middle Atlantic, RPV, and many many others. He assembled a hand picked TechnoQ team to perform the difficult task of installation coordination to best deliver NU-Q's desired outcome. Ahmed and I went into battle together (sometimes completely without backup), taking 100% responsibility to deliver what NU-Q specified for 100+ audio visual spaces. I would only do something this difficult again with Ahmed Marei. He is best project and construction manager I have ever worked with until now.

Ahmed Marei was the project manager for Techno Q who were supplying some of the equipment and expertise for a major project for Qatar Foundation. As I was the INC Technologies Project Director for this multi-million dollar project at Northwestern University Qatar (NUQ) it was reassuring for me to have Ahmed as part of my large project team as he brought a wealth of knowledge and experience, coupled with a willingness to provide the best possible service delivery and quality standards to the project.
