My duties in this role include performing safeguard reviews of audit files for clients across a wide range of industries as well as providing technical opinions in accounting, auditing and taxation to the firm’s partners, staff and clients. This role provides me with the opportunity to employ my strong technical knowledge in various accounting, auditing and taxation disciplines including IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, International Standards on Auditing (ISAs), the Companies Act, the King IV Code, the Income Tax Act, the VAT Act, the IESBA, IRBA and SAICA Codes of Professional Conduct as well as management accounting. I also research the accounting, auditing and taxation standards, legislation and other literature to provide technical opinions on complex queries. Other duties include ensuring that the firm complies with the IRBA and PKF International requirements.
