Main activities includes: • Contributed in the development of targeting criteria for beneficiary selection and presented to sub office, WFP partners and programme colleagues. • Supported the food security and early recovery cluster on food security and assessment related tasks. • Coordinated and conducted the Comprehensive Food Security Assessment (CFSA) in Syria jointly with stakeholders. I was involved at all phases of the survey (design, training, supervision, data processing and analysis, draft/review and finalization of the report. I have presented the results of the FSA to WFP management, stakeholders and donors. • Establishment of market monitoring system by using standard market analysis tools/methods and relies on both primary and secondary data. • Participated actively in the FAO/WFP joint Crop and Food Security Assessment Mission (CFSAM) and coordinated WFP team involved in this assessment. • Developed questionnaires and guidelines for Rapid Emergency Needs Assessment (EFSA) and coordinate and write three EFSA in Dier e Zore, Hama and Al- Hassakeh governorates. • Actively participated and lead the analysis of Humanitarian Need overview (HNO) 2016 planning figures jointly with the Food security Cluster for Syria. • Joint training and analysis was conducted with Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) Planning and International Cooperation Commission (PICC) staff on food security assessment in Syria. • Support Programme Sections with targeting/verification assessments and analysis. • Mobile VAM tool/technique that collect food security data through short phone surveys was initiated with HQ Support. The mVAM in Syria will collect the data through key sources in besieged areas and random calling households in 14 governorates. Show more Show less
