• Designing Steel Structure, Guard Rails and all types of Lighting Poles, such as Straight Poles, Mid-Hinged Poles, Raising & Lowering Poles and High Mast Poles.• Proposing Smart, Innovative & Cost-Effective ideas to satisfy the design requirement.• Assisting the Customer to clear any technical clarification.• Coordinating with the Sales & Material Dept. to ensure the availability of material and to enhance our response time to the project requirement.• Preparing compliance statements against different specifications, such as ADM, AADC, ADDC,RTA,SEWA & FEWA.• Preparing Technical Submittals with all the supporting documents required to attain the concerned party's approval

It was a 5 week internship program, where I was thoroughly introduced to each section of Gasco's Mechanical Department. As for the rotating equipment section, one week was spent to discuss the following concepts:• Rotating Equipment Department Main Role and Responsibilities• Avon Gas Generator and Power Turbines• Centrifugal Compressors and LM 2500 Gas Generator & GT Power Generation Application• Study codes, Stds, Spec, Data sheet, Vendor data• Turbo Expander and Air Compressors, Equipment Condition MonitoringWhereas, for the Piping and Pipeline Section, the following topics were covered on the span of two weeks:• Piping Main role and responsibilities, Design standards and codes• Piping Layout and Drawing Model, Plot plan, Arrangement Drawings, Isometrics• Piping Components & fittings (Pipe, Elbow, Tee, Flange & valves). • Materials, specifications, and Data sheets• H Testing, Pneumatic test and other QC Works• Pipeline Main role and responsibilities, Design standards and codes and related Software• Pipeline Engineering/design, PIGS, and ILIs• Pipeline related equipment valves, anchoring, and crossing• Design standards, codes, and related software• Pipeline construction activities• Pipeline Stations (Launchers and Receivers)• Related SoftwareAs for the HVAC section, only two days were enough to cover most of the topics under this section. Nevertheless, the following were included under it: • HVAC system elements and ducts• Design Standards and CodesRegarding the Static Equipment section, the following topics were discussed: • Static Equipment Main role and responsibilities, Design Standards, Codes and Documentation • Pressure Vessel- vertical/ horizontal • Tanks, Heat exchangers • ITP For various activities Finally, the internship objectives were achieved under the supervision and mentoring of highly professional senior level engineers.
