What I brought to the role: - Booked and promoted 31 local BBC Introducing gigs across 3 venues in Berkshire, with acts spanning genres from rock, to house, to RnB, to hip-hop, to DnB. - Alongside this, organised and booked 7 collaborative stages at festivals and events including Readipop Festival, Henley Festival, and Reading University's Summer Ball. - In total, organised and hosted 132 sets of live music over the course of two and a half years. - Increased the percentage of tracks played by women and non-binary artists from 34% to over 50% as part of the BBC’s 50:50 project, increasing representation. - Successfully pitched artists for Reading Festival (Tayo Sound 2021, Dan D'Lion 2022, Only The Poets 2023), Radio 1’s Big Weekend (Tayo Sound 2021, Deyah 2022), Latitude Festival (Maddie Ashman 2022) and to the final of the Radio 1 Introducing Live Lounge competition (Maddie Ashman 2022). - Compered the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading Festival (2021-2023) and at national showcases at The Lexington in London.
