It was my sincerest pleasure to benefit from Alejandra’s leadership for the ~2 years we worked together at Chegg. She led our team through several successful product and feature launches, supporting and enabling a period of rapid exponential growth to the product user base. Her strong skills in prioritization, planning, organization, and communication will be an immense asset to any team she joins in the future. Alejandra’s knowledge of the market and ability to understand and utilize user research enable her to make timely and accurate decisions when guiding the development of the product. She always responds quickly to the nearly constant stream of prioritization requests. Her organization skills and excellent negotiation with stakeholders, UX, and engineering led to delivering achievable roadmaps and product requirements that would improve KPIs. As the tech lead of the engineering team working on her product, the biggest benefit I appreciated when working with Alejandra was mutual trust. She always made space for engineering to participate in the planning process and give input for roadmaps and timelines. She listened to my estimates and was open to negotiate and compromise when we surfaced technical challenges. My trust for her grew over time as I observed that she stuck to reasonable deadlines, and kept agreements we made about what should be delivered. She would rarely introduce late-stage changes, and only when there was a strong business benefit. And she approached any such last minute changes with an openness to find solutions based on the resources available. Her confidence and positive attitude, throughout the ups and downs which naturally follow when developing a product, kept me and the whole team motivated. After so many smooth and successful product and feature launches over the past two years, I am feeling a bit spoiled. In my experience, Alejandra’s skills are rare and valuable. She will be sorely missed, and I look forward to seeing her continued positive impact as she enters the next stage of her career journey.

Intelligent, skilled, organized, trustworthy. Alejandra is a problem solver. Any company would be happy to have Alejandra lead the development of their products. I only wish I had been on the same team to be able to learn more from her.
