  PT. Bestari Jaya is a retail company that is based in Bali and holds many different brand such as Rip Curl, Palm Lagoon, Shine, Fleur, and Watch Republic. I'm hired as the interior designer and supervisor for the projects department, where my work is not limited to designing and drawing like before. I work directly under the owner of the company, helped by a junior designer under me, working with the business development team for future business expansions. My job in this company starts with surveying and measuring the site, designing the concept and drawing, proposing the design for approval to the operational team and the director, checking the details and the accuracy of the drawing that is made by the junior designer, proposing the designs and drawings to outside parties (like the fitting out team at malls, etc) making BOQ and documents for the pitchers to be proposed to the owner, preparing the administration documents to propose the project fees to the finance team. After the contractors start working on the project, I'm in full responsibility for all the details from making the fixtures as well as supervising the fitting out process on site to make sure it matches the standards that is wanted by the company. As long as the contractors are working, I also send progress reports routinely to the related departments in the company until they handover the project to the company. The project that I receive are not only opening new stores but also adding support items that can be used to optimize the sales of the store, like adding fixtures, changing window display designs, and more.   PT Cipta Putri Pertiwi is a fashion accessories company for brands such as Naughty and Le Femmes with hundreds of stores throughout Indonesia. My work in the company revolved around being in charge and responsible for all the designs to open new stores and renovating stores within the schedule given to me by the business development team, starting from the 3D designs and work overview, as well as approvals from the other departments involved. After the designs have been approved by the other departments involved, the design then goes to be pitched for the best price by the estimators and the project managers on my team. My involvement in this process is explaining the designs that I have created with my team and the contractors that will be working on this project. Within the first 3 months that I have worked here, I have designs stores for Naughty following the given concepts. After those 3 months, I was in charge for the openings of new stores and the renovations of stores for Les Femmes. In mid 2015, I started expanding the Les Femmes brand to a new concept (that is still being used until now). I started from ensuring the proper flow and placements of fixtures as well as the display of the brands elements, continuing on to the proper usage and placement of design standards and developing multiple design solutions which meet the design and functional criteria for all the projects.
