Co-leader of Team Latvia-Riga in iGEM - the largest synthetic biology competition in the world. Using the plant-derived BURP domain protein, we aim to develop it as a synthetic biology tool for the production of designed cyclic peptides with potential antimicrobial activity. Our goal is to bridge the gap between traditional and modern medicine by leveraging the power of synthetic biology.
