I have completed my internship at ZICO Shariah for 3 months and 21 days. It’s a valuable experience for me to be exposed to the industry and able to explore the opportunities in related fields. I am honoured to contribute in assisting ZICO Shariah team members. Here is my summary of my experiences: • Assigned in conducting Shariah research on issues pertaining to Shariah, Islamic banking and finance. • Assisting in performing Shariah review on securities as invested by the clients. • Assisting in calculating non-Shariah profit that must be disposed. • Assisting in Shariah screening according to the Standard & Poor’s Shariah Indices and FTSE Malaysia. • Assisting in performing Shariah review on cash trust product in accordance with Bank Negara Malaysia’s policy and applicable Shariah Advisory Council’s resolutions. • Assisting in preparing Shariah Adviser report.
