I successfully involved in: 1.The collection development: a.Electronic Library: - Evaluating current resources, suggesting new resources, negotiation for the new and old licenses and reviewing licenses agreements. - Improved the current collection by adding emphasize on the Journals collection development. - Communication and follow up with publishers and providers with regards to the renewals, new subscriptions, access problems, and training programmes. - Work on solving access problems and suggesting the new solutions to overcome such problems. - Conducting trials on new resources and evaluating these resources through communicating with the scientific committees and collecting their feedback. b. Physical Collection: - Communicating with the scientific committees and collecting their feedback for their needs of books. - Purchased about 700 medical textbooks and references to be distributed to residents and training centers. - Suggest improvement in the yearly physical collection purchase to create a standard collection for OMSB user’s references. 2.OMSB Website evaluation and review. a.Evaluation of OMSB website using Nielsen's heuristic evaluation and suggestions of improvements. b.Meeting with IT team to build new OMSB website templates and reviewing theses templates with H.E.Dr. Abdullah. c.Working with the IT team on building micro e-library website which will provide easy and fast access to users through their hand held devices and it expected to be launched by 2012. 3.A proposal for an OMSB physical medical information center finalized and submitted to be included in the OMSB head quarter. 4.Organized and conducted full training program for all the residents on all the e-library resources where the training was carried out by international trainers.
