In August 2021, I commenced my role as a teacher and research tutor at Madrasah Tsanawiyah (Public Islamic Junior High School) No. 2 in Palembang. My primary responsibility was to conduct classes for junior high school students, focusing on teaching basic research methods. Throughout the week, I dedicated at least 4 hours to these classes, which included both online sessions and private tutoring. As part of my initiative, I organized a workshop on junior scientific writing in January 2022, aiming to further enhance the students' research skills. While my teaching program aimed to equip the students with fundamental research abilities, it also encouraged them to participate in national research competitions. Although we didn't fully achieve our target, I was pleased to see some of the students reaching the finals in these competitions. Despite the outcomes, what delighted me was witnessing the dedication of these 7th to 8th graders in producing research papers and conducting serious data collection processes. Their eagerness to learn and grow in the field of research was inspiring. My term as a teacher concluded in August 2022, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have played a role in nurturing these young minds and fostering their interest in research. Show less
