Bio
Troy Trahan, MBA
Dylan gets it. He understands the art of serving others, and how this focus on servitude culminates in increased customer satisfaction and business performance. Dylan has proven successful in his recent positions--any company/school should count themselves lucky to have this guy. In fact, we tried to get him! From an educational standpoint, I have heard many personal testimonies of Dylan's ability to connect with students and their families, which is a lost art in the educational field. Additionally, Dylan has sound knowledge of his craft, which allows him to effectively teach his class and direct them toward excellence. His enthusiasm is contagious, and his attitude is stellar. He CHOOSES to be great, pleasant, and dependable.

Jul 2018 - Present
In July 2018 I joined Billhighway to help customers' pain points and design intuitive, easy-to-use solutions to address them in a scalable manner, and to help move our software platform towards a more industry-focused off-the-shelf solution. In 2023 I expanded my responsibilities to include the Impexium API platform. I help to plan, design, and test web software to help chapters-based non-profits focus less on collecting and managing funds and more on member, community, and industry engagement. - Currently serving as Product Owner of Integrations, building out a suite of APIs to integrate our platform with chapter- and national-level member management systems. - Develop and vet user stories, use cases, and functional specifications to prescribe enhancements to our platform to solve customers' needs and improve their operations. - Design scalable solutions using historical customer data to address pressing issues or challenges. - Coordinate and collaborate across operational teams to ensure solutions satisfy both internal and external customers' needs, clearly define scope, and set expectations. - Facilitate and execute UAT to validate that enhancements effective solve customer needs. Business Systems Analyst

Nov 2012 - Jul 2018
Beginning in November 2015 I served as a Business Systems Analyst for Thomson Reuters. My focus area was in Payroll Compliance, focusing on ensuring that our software platforms were compliant with the ever-changing state and Federal payroll laws landscape, as well as workers' compensation, and general quality assurance testing and optimizing. Later projects additionally emphasized reporting and process improvement. In my 3 years in Product Support, I fielded customer questions concerning the use of the Accounting CS and UltraTax 1040 software. I investigated and troubleshot issues, shared resources, assisted with setup or corrections, and helped users learn to be self-sufficient in using our software so that they may maximize their firms' efficiency. I also trained colleagues and customers in person and via WebEx, recruited interns from college campus career fairs, authored content for customer-facing help resources, composed accounting hot topics articles, and analyzed and workshopped department procedures. 7th/8th Grade Band Teacher
-
Aug 2010 - Nov 2012
I taught 7th and 8th grade band, planned all middle school extracurricular band activities (including Solo and Ensemble, multiple parties, elementary field trip/concerts, and a year-end field trip across multiple grades), directed the middle school Jazz and Rock Ensemble, and served as Assistant Director and Percussion Tech for the Marching Band, who finished in top 8 in Flight III State Finals two years running. I also taught high school Music Appreciation, for which I designed a curriculum from scratch, teaching classes of 9-12th graders in class sizes from 35 to 44. Cross-curricular lessons incorporated physics of sound and music, music history (and the world history that most affected it), student presentations, interviews, and performances, with differentiated instruction to accommodate the widely varying needs of students. I also conducted the pit orchestra for the high school musical, Little Shop of Horrors. Show less

Department Manager
-
Aug 2009 - Aug 2010
I sold drum and guitar instruments and accessories. After a month, I attained a position as department manager, entailing increased customer service responsibilities within my department. A significant portion of time and effort was spent on sales leads and customer follow-up to ensure that customers were satisfied with their purchases and had everything they needed. A proactive approach to making sales kept me toward the top in my store and allowed me to thrive in a challenging drum sales market. Show less
