My role as an agile technical tester required me to initially embed myself in the cross-functional delivery team in order to develop an understanding of the existing test processes and to identify areas of improvement. I routinely communicated core testing principles to a variety of stakeholders, ranging from the more technical focused, such as DevOps, to the more business-focused Product Owners. My ability to articulate and inform different members of the delivery team about correct QA processes enabled me to build a consensus in relation to test strategy. Which in turn helped to encourage the whole team to take joint responsibility for the quality and embedding quality assurance in the delivery lifecycle mapped against the GDS gateway. Working in an agile environment, I participated in and led the following ceremonies: • Refinement meetings • Specification workshops • Enforcing 3 amigos ceremonies before sprints with Business Analysts and Developers. • Review the acceptance criteria • Provide insight into how the acceptance criteria would be tested and defined. • Include estimations on new user stories • Conduct and lead UAT I believe that accessibility is one of the most important factors in manual testing. Per every release I ensure that the devices meet the WCAG and report any AA & AAA bugs: • Mobile iOS and Android devices. • Tablet iOS and Android devices • Across multiple browsers • NVDA & JAWS (Windows machine) • VoiceOver (Mac) The standard tools that I have experience using the following: • Zephyr for JIRA - test management tools • Jenkins • Confluence for documentation • OWASP ZAP security • Sauce Labs manual cross-device testing • POSTMAN – API tool • BugMagnet • Form filler Show less
